sees beyond the traditional
The new generation Sens-A-Ray 2000 intraoral digital imaging system sheds new light on established truths and notions.

The most significant being our new sensors. Sens-A-Ray 2000 has greater resolution and precision. In fact, more than most comparable digital systems. Sens-A-Ray 2000 provides for accurate diagnosis with the same reliability as conventional x-ray film. There are two sensor models, the 648 and 448.

The main difference between them is the size of the active area. With a 50% greater imaging area, the larger 648 sensor naturally offers a broader range of applications.

With the 448 sensor, having been used primarily as a precision instrument for endodontic treatment and implants, the new 648 sensor is now a powerful tool for all diagnostic work.

648 and 448 Sensors
The larger model 648 sensor has characteristics that simplify the task of taking bitewing images. The 648 has a unique design that maximizes image size without sacrificing the patient's comfort. Image quality and resolution are very high and the capacity to quickly enlarge, reduce, adjust contrasts and work with inverted gray scale and pseudocolours is impressive.

Both sensors are supplied with a flat cable, making them easier to handle. You may work with either the larger or smaller sensor. A single, simple maneuver is all that is necessary when you wish to switch between sensors.

This new generation of sensors offers you the opportunity to replace old methods with new technology without relinquishing clinical diagnostic quality.

In fact, digital dental imaging will, in some instances, increase your diagnostic capacity.

Sens-A-Ray 2000 streamlines your work
and enhances working pleasure
Sens-A-Ray 2000 is an easy-to-use system that is fun to work with. The learning period is brief and the system is compatible with most existing x-ray equipment. Sens-A-Ray 2000 consists of four main components; the sensor(s), image unit, grabber board and software. Improved efficiency in the dental office is derived from rapid image production and simplified storage and administration of x-ray images. Sens-A-Ray 2000 displays the x-ray images directly on the monitor with the highest possible definition and quality, saving time and money. Processing film in the darkroom is totally eliminated. The average time savings are five minutes per image. Over the course of a year this equates to substantial savings. Patients will notice a difference immediately since the waiting time for x-rays drops dramatically. It is easier for the dentist to provide information on the diagnosis as well as justify the proposed treatment while the image is displayed on the monitor.

There are additional advantages for the dental office. Scheduling is simplified while the darkroom becomes available for other purposes.

Sens-A-Ray 2000 helps to improve both the working organization and administrative components of the modern dental office. The system is delivered network ready and will integrate with selected practice management systems. Images may be printed. They may also be transferred in digital format, via modem, network or removable media.

Sens-A-Ray 2000 is your complete intraoral digital imaging solution.

Sens-A-Ray 2000 treats your patients, staff and the environment with care
Clean Environment
The choice between conventional and digital x-ray technology is also an environmental one. The environmental concerns associated with x-rays pertain to processing chemicals and radiation exposure levels. Sens-A-Ray 2000 eliminates the handling of hazardous chemicals by your staff as well as by manufacturers and shipping companies. By utilizing new technology everyone contributes to reducing environmental hazards.

You and your staff avoid daily contact with chemicals and are spared the troublesome and costly collection of waste chemicals for silver recovery and disposal.

However the most significant advantage in the long run is lower radiation levels. Sens-A-Ray 2000 works with extremely short exposure times. Both patients and staff are subjected to considerably lower radiation exposure. Reduced exposure, and the subsequent reduction of risk for dentist and patient alike, is the primary objective of our research and our international collaboration. The importance to the individual patient should not be underestimated.

With Sens-A-Ray 2000 we have made further progress in our environmental efforts. The bite blocks are manufactured with a specially selected plastic in order to facilitate recycling. None of the material, which comes in close contact with the patient, contains any toxic or hazardous substances. All packaging material can be re-cycled. In everything we do our goal is to keep a sincere concern for the environment....

To think green.

We represent a new generation where the sustainable society should be in the foreground with its people at the center.
